How did you get started with bodybuilding?
FB: When I was young I already dreamed about a big and strong body. I started from an early age with martial arts; which was always a lot of fun. I noticed that my body was getting stronger, and also better looking. Also, my self-confidence shot up. On my 21st birthday, I credit the combination of martial arts training and being in the army had given me a great foudation. and now I have chosen bodybuilding.
Where does your motivation come from?
FB: That's a good question which I myself don't really have an answer to. Inside I feel just a constant drive to get large and hard. This drive completely dominates me always allowing me to never skip a workout or a meal. I cheat sometimes, for example, I very very much love chocolate, but if I cheat I try to also add the right amount of protein.
What training schedule works best for you?
FB: I personally think it is fine to pump and train in quick succession leaving me in a short time a lot of blood pumped into my muscles. That feeling is delicious!
What does your diet look like?
FB: My diet is actually based just on a healthy lifestyle. Lots of good carbs, rich in protein, healthy fats and not to forget, vegetables. If I get a photoshoot, then I may change my formula, so I am perfect on the day of the shoot as good as possible.

What do you do differently if you must remain very lean for photoshoots?
FB: If I remain on a very strict diet, then I go every Sunday to McDonald 's. I see that as a reward, but is also advisable in a diet. You let your body take in some fat again after depriving your fat stores and can appease this. After a shoot I always reward myself with a thick chocolate bar.
What is the most important advice that you can give to beginners?
FB: Set a goal for yourself and immerse yourself in the sport. Don't go too hard on heavy weight training. Finally, rest to grow, good nutrition and allow recovery time. Your workout is taxing your muscles, tendons and bones. You are looking for right balance and most importantly: enjoy this sport!
