Shahid Kapoor, 32, was born February 25, 1981 in Mumbai, India. He began as a trained dancer. Starting off his career by working in music videos and advertisements, Kapoor made his Bollywood debut as a background dancer.
Now he is one of the top Bollywood actors and models, he's been nicknamed "Baby of Bollywood", due to his boyish good looks. His good looks combined with his killer bod makes him an international fit hot guy.
Shahid first film was in 2002 the movie Ishq Vishk which was a big hit in India. He received the Filmfare Award in 2003 in the Debut category for his performance along with the same award from the Star Screen Awards and the Zee Cine Awards.
In 2005 all three of his films failed to do well at the box office but his performances were praised. He received a Star Screen Best Actor Nomination for his work in the film Shikhar.
Kapoor received his first box office success since his debut with the multi-star, 36 China Town. Despite mixed reviews the comic-thriller became a success.
His film Vivah a Bollywood romantic drama film co-starred Amrita Rao was a blockbuster despite its dated theme. His performance was loved by both audiences and critics in India and abroad.
In 2012 Shahid starred in Teri Meri Kahaani (english: Our Story) opposite Priyanka Chopra is a Hindu romance drama film directed by Kunal Kohli.
